    Meditation doesn't have to be difficult or intimidating.  All
    meditation truly is, is time set aside to calm your mind and
    thoughts.  A time to center and balance yourself.  Meditation
    can be time just relaxing listening to your breath or favorite
    calming sounds or music .  Or, even just time spent sitting in
    prayer.  The beauty about meditation is that there really is no
    rules.  

    Below we have put together a small amount of information to
    help you get started with Meditation.  For best results, you
    should meditate at the same time and for the same amount of
    time everyday.  As always, if you have any questions, don't
    hesitate to email us.

    Find a comfortable position.  Sitting upright in a chair with feet
    on the floor.  Indian style with legs crossed (lotus style) on the
    floor.  Or lying down…this can be used as long as you don’t
    find yourself falling asleep.  Pick a day and time that you will
    have about twenty un interrupted minutes.  Turn your computer
    and cell phones off or on silent.  Get comfortable and relax.   
    Turn palms up and touch your index and thumb together on
    both hands.   

    The first thing to do is close your eyes and take 3 deep breaths.  
    Breath in through your nose, feel and visualize the oxygen
    filling your nose, throat, espogogus down to your lungs.  Feel
    and visualize your lungs filling with the new clean air from the
    bottom of the lungs upwards.   Breathe out through your mouth
    and feel the same oxygen work it’s way up and out.  Do this
    deep breathing at least 3 times or as long as you feel necessary.  

    Direct your attention upwards.  Envision the beautiful bright
    light sent from the Universe coming down to you.  Imagine it
    flowing TO you…THROUGH you…and FROM you.  Feel the
    White light enter at your crown and work it’s way down.  
    Through your face, neck, shoulders, arms, chest, torso, hips,
    thighs, calves, feet.  Feel and see the white light flow out of the
    palms of your hands and the bottoms of your feet.  Imagine the
    bottoms of your feel as though they were a watering can letting
    the white light flow out of them and being soaked up by the
    Earth.  Your palms may either pulsate or become very warm as
    the white light flows from them.  This is normal as there are
    secondary chakras located in your palms that will be activated
    by this technique.   Visualize this beautiful white light flowing
    completely through you and out of your aura.  See it surround
    you as a bubble on all sides around you.  Visualize this
    protective white light as a protective bubble that flows 10 ft out
    on all sides of you.  

    The next area to focus on is the feet and base of your spine.  
    Imagine strong tree roots growing out of these areas working
    their way to the ground.  See the roots break through the floor,
    going down  to the Earth.  See the roots penetrate the earth.  
    Follow the roots as they go deeper and deeper into the Earth’s
    core.  It’s very important for you to “feel” this as grounding is
    exceptionally important while meditating.  Once you feel your
    roots are planted firmly into the Earth’s center direct your
    attention then to the base chakra.

    The base is located at the base of the Spine.  The other
    information I have supplied will advise you as to what the main
    function of the chakra is.   I want you to envision the color RED
    as it at the base of your chakra where the roots are located.  
    From here I want you to feel Red energy being pulled from the
    Earth up through the roots meeting at your Base Chakra.  Feel
    the Strong, Red Energy enter your body through the Roots.  
    Follow this Red energy up to the Spleen Chakra.  This Chakra
    is Orange.  Feel the Red energy slowly move upwards changing
    to the color Orange.   Take this energy up to the Solar Plexus /
    Yellow Chakra located in your mid section area of your torso.  
    Feel the energy rise and change from Orange to Yellow.   
    Follow this energy up slowly to the Heart/Chest area.  See the
    Yellow color change to Green as the energy flows upwards and
    rest in the heart area.  As this energy continues to rise it reaches
    the Throat Chakra changing to a Sky Blue.  Allow the energy to
    move upward to the Crown Chakra which is Violet.  As this
    energy reaches your Crown I want you to imagine the top of
    your head opening to a cone like shape.  Allow the white light
    from the heavens to flow down and meet with the Violet energy
    resting in your crown.  The opening Crown of your head allows
    communication from the Heavens to enter your energy.  Take
    this Violet energy to your forehead between your brows.  The
    color changing to Indigo and surrounding your Third Eye.  You
    may see a flash of color…or an image of an eye opening…this is
    normal.   Just allow it to happen.  It may not happen right away
    but with anything this takes practice.  

    After you’ve aligned yourself with both Heaven and Earth and
    you’ve activated all of your chakras remain still.  Allow your
    thoughts to enter in the flow out.  Don’t try to fight your
    thoughts or mind chatter.  You must just allow them to come in
    and out.  Imagine you are looking at a big screen and the
    thoughts enter into the left and flow out the right sides of the
    screen.  This may go on for sometime.  It’s ok.  There is no set
    timing to any of this.  Once you’ve allowed your thoughts and
    mind chatter to come and go things will begin to settle down.  
    You’ll get to a point where you will be completely present and
    the thoughts will have gone.   The screen you are viewing will
    eventually turn black.  Allow yourself to remain in this state as
    long as you can.  

    After enough practice you’ll see it’s not as difficult as you once
    thought it to be.  This should be done in order as listed before
    every session of mediation.  We suggest mediation EVERY day
    first thing in the morning for the MINIMUM OF 20
    MINUTES.  If you can’t find time for this EVERY day…then
    we suggest on the days you don’t meditate to make sure you get
    outside for a few minutes and try to connect with Nature.  Sit
    quietly for a few minutes in the grass or against a tree.  Feel
    yourself absorb the great strength from the Earth.  At the very
    least you should protect yourself with the White light and
    Ground yourself out a few times a day.

    The important thing is, is that there is NO right or wrong way.  
    If something we have  listed doesn’t work well for you then feel
    free to change it to something that does.  The keys to it all
    are…PROTECT YOURSELF WITH THE LIGHT…..  
    GROUND YOURSELF OUT…..  AND ALLOW THE
    ENERGY TO FLOW THROUGH YOU.
